Awana
Awana is a weekly Bible-based program that spiritually challenges young people in a fun and interesting way! There are four different Awana groups at Hopewell Baptist Church.
Awana is held from September through May. Each night that the clubs meet, they will be learning Bible verses in Handbook Time, playing games at Game Time and have Council Time where they will learn an age appropriate lesson. Each of the 3 sections will last approximately 30 minutes. Awana is an exciting club for kids of all ages to participate in.
Here at Hopewell, we support corporate family worship. We would encourage you to bring your children into our worship service so they can watch their parents listen to the preaching of God’s Word and sing songs of praise as they worship with their church family.
We also understand this may be incredibly difficult at times. For that reason, Hopewell provides a nursery during our Sunday morning gathering in the education building. The nursery is for children 5 and under who need to get out their wiggles and let the parents focus on the service. All workers have been through background checks and safety training.
We want to support you in choosing whatever decision you decide to make. We have heard babies crying in our sanctuary before, and we will hear them again. That is a beautiful sign of new life in the church. So either way, bring yourself and your children to church!
