Brotherhood
John 13:34–35
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another
What is Brotherhood?
This is a group of men who meet together every other Monday night in our fellowship hall to pray and study God’s Word as we are built up to be sent out as we spread the Gospel to Christ.
Right now our men are working through the book of Galatians as well as reading Wayne Grudem’s Christian Beliefs: Twenty Basics Every Christian Should Know. We eat dinner alongside of one another beginning at 6:30 pm and we usually finish up at 8:30 pm.
We would love for you to come be a part of Hopewell’s men's group. Any man from age 12 until death is welcome. Please contact our church office if you have any questions.
Sunday School
On Sunday mornings at 9:00 am, Hopewell has a wide variety of groups of people who meet together for discipleship and Bible study across the the buildings on our campus. From birth to retirement we want to help you get plugged into a community of believers here at Hopewell. Bring your infant to the nursery, or your child to KidsPraise, or your student to the youth room. Our adult classes do not have any age requirements or limits. We simply believe that all of God’s people are to meet with one another.
We have a member who has always said, “Start in the nursery then make your way up.”
There is some humor behind that, and ultimately we want you to find not just a building to call your “church home,” but we want you to find people you can call home. Whether you are in your early forties and married or in your eighties and single, we want you to get plugged in. Please contact Joshua Birmingham, the Sunday School Director, if you have any questions about what class you should attend and where that may be.
Come learn and grow Sundays at 9:00 am, right here at Hopewell.
Prayer Meeting
“Brethren, we shall never see much change for the better in our churches in general till the prayer-meeting occupies a higher place in the esteem of Christians.” - Charles Spurgeon
On Wednesday nights from 6:30-7:30, we gather in the Fellowship Hall to read God’s Word alongside one another and to pray. We pray for those who are physically hurting, those who are spiritually lost, and everything else in between.
